Sealant

Dental Sealants: a thin protective layer which is applied to the chewing surface of the back teeth where decay occurs most often. It acts like a barrier by sealing out plaque, food and decay-causing bacteria. Sealants are usually placed on the first molars when patients around 6 years old and around 12 year-old when 2nd molars erupt.
